Our Certificate and Diploma programmes provide students with nationally recognised qualifications and set a standard of excellence that will assist in launching your dream career in the dance industry.

 

CUA30320 Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching

If becoming a qualified dance teacher is one of your career goals, our Foundations Course is the first step on the ladder to becoming a dance teacher. This course develops your teaching skills while you are still under the supervision of a professional. You will receive credit transfers from this qualification should you choose to progress to the Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management.

CUA40320 Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management

This course is for experienced dancers and provides a further qualification towards your goal as a dance teacher. You will study a range of dance teaching subjects.  You will receive credit transfers from this qualification should you wish to progress to the Diploma.

CUA50320 Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management

This course builds upon teaching skills you’ve already achieved. and focuses on the management of small business operations.  You will learn to manage budgets and financial plans, manage a flexible workforce, source funding for projects, manage copyright and understand workplace safety. You will refine your teaching methodologies as you create and perform complex dance pieces, manage small scale productions and develop marketing and social media strategies.

CUA40520 Certificate IV in Musical Theatre

This course offers high level of recognition in the main components of musical theatre, including dance, acting and voice. It covers core industry requirements such as professional practice, costuming and self-development as an artist. (via RPL only)

CUA50220 Diploma of Musical Theatre

If you are looking to recognise your skills as a professional performer in musical theatre, then this course will assist you to become a ‘triple threat’ as a singer, dancer and actor and graduate with highly developed skills to be competitive in the industry.
