The President’s Welcome
Here at the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) we are dedicated to the art of dance and dance education and as an organisation we come together and support studio owners, teachers, students and dancers of all levels and ages.
This year has flown by and, at times, it has been one of uncertainty and fear. We have all faced challenges, been extremely busy adapting and re-adapting again and again.
Our members are the glue that holds the dance industry together and our Board and management continue to support them during this current climate. We will continue to work with everyone in every capacity to assist them to get them back on track and their studios flourishing.
The ATOD Registered Training Organisation team supports our students through their education and training and ensures they gain the skills to become a successful dance industry professionals. We encourage them to dream big and reach their full potential as they obtain their professional qualifications, enjoy outstanding dance experiences and reach their career goals.
Our Systems of Training, in wide-ranging genres, are immaculate and regularly updated to ensure relevance, quality and excellence in content and delivery.
We value professional development and can’t wait until we can once again offer our master classes, conventions, competitions and concerts both nationally and internationally. These events provide the perfect opportunity for members and their students to experience a broad range of opportunities from technical development to performance skills and networking opportunities.
Our examinations are conducted throughout the world and thus the process is a great source of pride where common sense, support and empathy abound.
ATOD provides excellent opportunities for our members and students to grow as individuals, as studios, as teams and as a wider dance community. I invite anyone involved in the dance industry to join our family, which reminds us of what we do and why we do it each day.
