Jazz Moves

Jazz is a continually changing and evolving genre encompassing many styles such as Broadway, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Funk and Lyrical to name a few. Our innovative System of Training encompasses everything from foundation Jazz to the very latest moves.

The Jazz Moves System of Training

This System of Training is designed to enhance individual creativity with student choreography and improvisation included in major levels.  It includes the teacher’s own choreography or the opportunity to use the set dances provided.

Each level progresses systematically and builds strength, energy and attack and

includes 12 levels and a performance award.

The System of Training includes:

  • introductory notes (including history and terminology) along with extensive teaching notes (including an anatomical glossary and index) and an accompanying DVD and CD.
  •  a comprehensive warm-up, stretches, floor and corner work, turns, kicks and jumps, historical steps, up-to-the-minute moves, combinations, progressions and dances.
  •  the use of a cane, hat, chair, chorus shoes and more!

This programme enhances individual creativity with student choreography and improvisation included in major levels and is designed to technically develop students to individually reach their full potential.

As far as Jazz dancing, no other art form, other than conversation, can give the satisfaction of spontaneous interaction.

Jazz is the connection and communication between dancers. Jazz is abandon.

Jazz dancing washes away the dust of everyday life.
